Atrocity Scapegoat is a dystopian death metal project that confronts the mechanisms of oppression that make atrocities possible so they can be recognized, disrupted, and delegitimized.
Our music bears witness to the rising threat of authoritarianism, the harmful use of AI propaganda, the ever increasing power of oligarchy systems, the perils of blind nationalism, and the narratives used to enslave the minds of ordinary people allowing them to condone and even participate in extraordinary violence.
Atrocity Scapegoat is not a celebration of collapse, it is an examination of the systems that manufacture it, and the hope for what comes after.
